During the interview, they had a relaxed and engaging conversation about “Synergy of 4”, the exhibition opening on 28 August at SVEA Gallery, located in Gamla Stan, the historic heart of the Swedish capital.
The conversation explored the works Gómez Cambronero will be taking to Stockholm, as well as the creative moment he is currently experiencing. The evolution of his painting in recent years, the new directions he is beginning to explore, and his constant search for an increasingly personal artistic voice formed an important part of an interview that went far beyond the presentation of an exhibition.
There was also time to talk about Gómez Cambronero’s long-standing connection with Sweden, how the opportunity to exhibit there again came about, and what it means for him to return to Stockholm with a selection of his most recent works.
Sweden has gradually become a special place in the artist’s international career, where several of his works are already part of private collections and where he has found an audience particularly receptive to his painting.
An interesting, enjoyable and very personal conversation that offered an opportunity to look back, reflect on the journey so far and, above all, talk about what lies ahead.
