The artist and engineer from Daimiel, Juan Francisco Gómez-Cambronero Alonso, has been awarded First Prize in the 3rd National Painting Competition of the Civil Engineering Foundation for his work “Connected Geometry”, a piece that merges art and technique in a visual language filled with balance, emotion, and structure.

The Daimiel artist Juan Francisco Gómez Cambronero has been chosen as the official poster artist for the 2025 Christmas Gala organized by the Nativity Scene Association of Ciudad Real. His artwork will serve as the image announcing one of the most anticipated events of the Christmas season, which will take place on November 29th at the Teatro Quijano.

Author and painter will present the novel *”Mulinshi, the Guardian of the Mist”* on December 4. Ríos’ text will transcend the boundaries of its pages to capture its essence on Gómez-Cambronero’s canvas. A perfect symbiosis between writer and artist, whose inevitable result can only lead to Art.

Among more than 5000 works, Gómez Cambronero got the pass of finalist thanks to his work ‘La espera’, a large format work that symbolises the hardest moments of the pandemic through the lost look of a girl, who waits tirelessly for her grandfather.

From 28 November until 20 December, the collective exhibition of a group of Swedish and Spanish painters, including Gómez Cambronero, opens at the Higueron Luxury Hotel-Resort.

The European Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona (MEAM) hosted the awards ceremony for the 2023 Edition of Mod Portrait. Gómez Cambronero was distinguished as a finalist in these prestigious Mod Portrait figurative art awards for his work ‘El abrazo’ (The Embrace).

Juan Francisco Gómez-Cambronero received the ‘Daimieleño of the Year 2021’ award on December 11, an honor presented annually by the prestigious newspaper “Las Tablas de Daimiel”.
