A full house at the Elisa Cendrero Museum and over seventy people waiting outside to enter the opening—something never seen before in Ciudad Real. Last Friday, the art exhibition of two creators who, out of friendship, decided to showcase their latest works together, was inaugurated.
Open until January 12, the exhibition combines the mastery of Feliciano Moya, a 62-year-old acclaimed painter from Aldea del Rey known for his breathtaking La Mancha landscapes with fabulous skies and colorful fields, as well as courtyards, gardens, and still lifes, with the immense potential of Gómez Cambronero, a 47-year-old artist from Daimiel who recently exhibited a collection on European values at the European Parliament.
“This is an exhibition born from the friendship between two painters in a world where such camaraderie may not be very common—a mutual appreciation of each other’s work,” noted Terriza. He highlighted that “Feliciano is an experienced artist with more than forty years of practice, having built his life around painting not only through sales but also as a distinguished educator. His paintings capture the skies and fields of La Mancha, rural houses, traditional architecture, courtyards, shadows, light, sunsets, and sunrises, all painted with firm, confident, and meticulous brushstrokes.”
Meanwhile, Gómez Cambronero demonstrates the same constructive precision when depicting a building as when, “taking on the role of an expressive, free painter with loose brushstrokes, he pours all his thoughts into his art,” Terriza remarked. He described the exhibition as “a true joy,” calling it “a very comprehensive showcase of talent.”
